Iran Regime Officials Scared of US Sanctions

INU - After the US imposed sanctions on Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, regime officials began to voice their fear about the current situation.

During an August 5 news conference, Zarif started shouting that he wasn’t angry and asking why, if the US wants to negotiate, they would put him and Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the sanctions list.

Iran May Be Using Lebanon to Skirt Sanctions

INU - There are concerns that Lebanese companies have been assisting the Islamic Republic of Iran ship oil to Syria in spite of sanctions that are in place.

Business records and tracking data are pointing to some Lebanese companies involved in the illicit transactions. The companies based in Lebanon own and operate the tankers that have been transporting Iranian oil in the eastern part of the Mediterranean.

US Imposes Sanctions on Iranian Foreign Minister

GitHub Blocks Developers in Iran Because of U.S. Sanctions

INU - The CEO of Microsoft-owned GitHub has announced that access to paid accounts and private code repositories have been blocked because of U.S. sanctions on various countries including Iran. The accounts are run by software companies and developers.

Chinese Firm Sanctioned by U.S. For Violating Iran Oil Sanctions

INU - Zhuhai Zhenrong Co Ltd, a Chinese state-run energy company, has been sanctioned by the United States for violating restrictions that have been imposed on Iran’s oil sector.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo re-iterated the United States’ promise to sanction any entities that violate U.S. sanctions on Iran. He said yesterday during a speech: “We’ve said that we will sanction any sanctionable behavior, and we mean it.”
