Iran is besieged by a nationwide uprising that could well result in the mullahs overthrown. With that in mind, we decided to look back at a speech made by Maryam Rajavi, leader of the Iranian Resistance, back in July, where she declared that the people would take back Iran.
At the end of our last piece, we promised to look at why the clerical regime’s overthrow is the definite solution to all of the problems facing Iran.
Maryam Rajavi said: “The definitive, ultimate and indisputable solution is the overthrow of the religious dictatorship in its entirety at the hands of the people of Iran and their Resistance.”
She advised that the Iran apologists who benefit from the continuation of the regime used to give fake promises of moderation by the mullahs, now they just give fake news about the Iranian Resistance.
Maryam Rajavi said: “They want to play the role of the regime’s saviors. They want to say that there is no alternative to the regime and everyone would benefit from tolerating the mullahs. But can they stop the wheels of history from turning? Can they reverse the progress of history? Never!”
She went on to say that the regime and its apologists say that the Iranian Resistance has no support inside Iran, but why then does the regime not allow the Iranian Resistance to hold peaceful gatherings and demonstrations across Iran for one day?
Maryam Rajavi said: “Of course, the regime has never allowed this and will never do so. Why? Because the mullahs are fully aware that they will be swiftly swept away from power.”
This is something we are seeing with the ongoing Iranian uprising that will soon push the mullahs from power.
Maryam Rajavi explained that under the repression of the Iranian regime, resistance is the only benchmark of how people are feeling towards those in power.
She said: “Everyone knows that under absolute repression and intimidation, and as long as there is no chance for gatherings, demonstrations, opinion polls, and free elections, the only genuine benchmark (of legitimacy) is resistance. Nothing else is this essential or relevant.”
Therefore, the only way to estimate support for the Iranian Resistance led by Maryam Rajavi is to look at the ongoing acts of rebellion by Iranian Resistance units, who hold protests, stage hunger strikes, and plaster up posters of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi with Resistance slogans on them.
Maryam Rajavi said that instead of looking at the opinion polls, where most would lie if a regime agent asked them if they supported Maryam Rajavi to avoid being killed in the streets, we should look at the struggle waged by units of rebellion and the exiled Iranians who shout “We will take back Iran”.
And what better example of support for Maryam Rajavi is there than the nationwide uprising that has spread to 189 cities in Iran and seen 1000 people murdered by the regime. These people are putting their lives on the line for this cause.
In our next piece, we will look at the resistance units in Iran and how the people there are embracing freedom by supporting Maryam Rajavi.
