Hostage Nizar Zakka Released From Iran Prison

INU - The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) arrested Lebanese-American citizen Nizar Zakka in September 2015, when he was headed to an airport in Tehran, after visiting Iran to participate in a conference about women in Iran on an official invitation by Shahindokht Molaverdi, advisor to Iranian Regime President Hassan Rouhani.

Twitter Purges Almost 5000 Accounts Secretly Linked to Iran Regime

INU - Social media site Twitter announced Thursday that it purged thousands of accounts that were linked to coordinated, state-backed activities that it believes are from the Iranian government.

Twitter removed 4,779 accounts that it believed were associated with or backed by Iran and archived them to its public database. Over 1600 of the removed accounts sent out a massive two million tweets that the report said shared “global news content, often with an angle that benefited the diplomatic and geostrategic views of the Iranian state”.

It was widely reported on Thursday that two commercial vessels had been damaged by explosions in the Gulf of Oman.
